Our Blog about Costa Rica Real Estate & Expat Living
Moving To Costa Rica…is it right for you?
Expat living is not for the faint of heart, no matter what country you land in. It’s the same for expats that have moved from their country of origin to live in Costa Rica. That’s in large part why our blog about Costa Rica real estate and expat living was born.
What is an ‘expat’? According to Dictionary.com and the British definition, an expat is a “resident living in a foreign country” or “a person who lives in a foreign country.”
Are you interested in what moving to Costa Rica might really look like for you? Are you considering retiring to Costa Rica? Would you like a taste of what it’s like to explore the less traveled life in Costa Rica, along the South Pacific coast?
Then, perhaps, the La Pure Vida Costa Rica expat living blog will be of interest to you.
Who writes our blog about Costa Rica real estate, La Pura Vida Costa Rica?
That would be me. JuliAnne here. I’m the Managing Director and part owner here of South Pacific Costa Rica Real Estate. I’m also a bestselling author and blogger. I started La Pura Vida Costa Rica dot com in early 2016, well before the dream of starting our own boutique real estate firm on Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast bloomed.
As such, you’ll find some older content there about my expat life in Costa Rica. And, now that we’ve started this best little boutique real estate firm here in the South Pacific, you’ll find many relevant topics there about real estate, buying a home in Costa Rica, Costa Rica Real Estate 101 (for those brand new to this experience), and some interviews of other expats (or residents living in Costa Rica who were not born here).
Every week, I’ll be blogging about all of the above, and much, much more – whatever inspires, excites, bemuses, and confuses in day-to-day life in this tropical paradise….any of which can happen on any day of the week when you are an expat living abroad in Costa Rica. Or anywhere in Central America. ☺
By the way, if you have an interest in a specific question or topic, send me a note here.
Welcome, and thanks for stopping by! I look forward to sharing more about life in Costa Rica as an expat – and other topics of interest to those buying property in Costa Rica – very soon.
